The sins of the first cycle of apostasy were forgetting God and sexual immorality. (v. 6-7)
The servitude of the first cycle of apostasy came from evil foreign kings. (v. 8; 12-14)
The people then bow their heads and cry out to the Lord for help. (v. 9; 15a)
Salvation came from God, when he raised up two Judges, Othniel and Ehud. (v. 10-11; 15b)
- God used Othniel and his army to drive out one king.
- God used Ehud’s uniqueness and commitment to destroy the other.
THE REASON we have the troubles, confusion, and immorality in our world today is we have forgotten God.
God is the righteous judge, and He has already sent His final salvation. We have no excuse for forgetting Him.
Main Point: Walking with God obediently and consistently will ensure He will use your uniqueness for His purposes.
