Encounters with Jesus: The Enemy

Matthew 4:1-11

• As a believer, we need to know that spiritual warfare is real!
• We should expect some resistance every time we go for God.
• You are a threat to Satan and his desires.
• Satan distracts people from God using stuff we call “good”.
• So Jesus relied on His Father’s Word.
• Satan was trying to get Jesus to prove His divinity.
• Scripture and prayer are our two biggest weapons against temptation.

Main Point: Jesus wanted this ENCOUNTER to happen so people could see that he had power over Satan.
