Matthew 25:14-30
Everyone has been given something by God to use for the Kingdom.
Jesus will ask us upon his return – What did you do with what I gave you?
In this parable we see that those who are faithful with what they are given will be given more.
Those who have not been faithful with what they are given will have it taken away and be thrown out.
Failure only comes from laziness or disobedience.
The response from the third servant shows a lack of a relationship with the master.
When we squander or abuse or ignore what we have been given, we are being rebellious toward God.
Main Point: We are to use what God has given us wisely, and use it to make Him famous.
“Live as though Jesus is coming back today; Plan as though he is not coming back for one hundred years.”
