Acts 11:19-30
We are Chrsitians only, but not the only Christians.
Much like the Christians in early America, the original disciples were persecuted and scattered.
The scattered started with reaching their people, and then began to reach the gentiles with the Gospel.
This was the first place we see believers called Christians.
The early church’s mission was sharing the Gospel and helping people meet Jesus.
They taught the church to
- Remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.
- Spread the Word of God.
- Give to help continue the mission.
Main Point: We should reject holding people hostage with human traditions and opinions and strive for unity based solely on Christ.
