Romans 12:1-2 (Romans 11 & 6)
Chapters 1-11 of Romans are Paul’s Christian Theology.
Chapter 12 is the beginning of Paul’s Christian Ethics.
Theology is truth about God, scripture, the Gospel of Christ…while Ethics are how we live in accordance to that truth.
We offer ourselves as people who have been brought from death to life! (Romans 6 – IN CHRIST)
“Spiritual” Worship = Informed, reasoned, true, intelligent, heart and mind.
We give ourselves to God as his sacrifices when we understand His grace and its place in our lives.
- Transformation is a constant, ongoing process of becoming more like Christ.
- Transformation begins in our minds.
o Renewing our mind is a process…by definition an internal process.
MAIN POINT: When we change the way we think, we change the way we live!
